Basic:

  1. Divide dough into 6 pieces
  2. Form into balls and roll into shapebetween two pieces of oiled parchment
  3. Peel off the top layer
  4. Bake in oven until starting to brown (5 – 8 minutes)
  5. Allow to cool and fill as required

 

Zhuzh it up:

  • Add a quarter tsp of chilli flakes to the mix before rolling

  • Add half a tsp of mixed herbs to the mix before rolling
  • Add 1tbsp grated parmesan to the mix before rolling … these are especially good with vegetarian fillings
  • Add half tsp ground cinnamon and 1 tsp sugar to the mix before rolling, then fill with cooked fruit

 

Cinnamon Apple Roll

Ingredients

  • 2 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 tsp honey
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp chopped raisins
  • ¼ cup diced organic apple
  • 1 tortilla with cinnamon and sugar (as above)

Method

  1. Combine cream cheese, honey and cinnamon
  2. Add diced raisins and apples and mix until well combined
  3. Spread evenly across tortilla and roll up.

 

Strawberry Cream Roll

Ingredients

  • 2 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 tsp honey
  • 3-4 fresh strawberries, finely diced
  • 1 tortilla with cinnamon and sugar (as above)

Method

  1. Combine the cream cheese and honey
  2. Add diced strawberries and mix
  3. Spread evenly across tortilla and roll
